Army Surplus Equipment

Question: How cheap can i get an army surplus humvee?

I think it would be cool to have a humvee as my first can and i was wondering how cheap i could get one. how cheap can you get one if it has the least available options.

I would stay away from a humvee escpecially as the first car. You have a problem finding parts already. How much abuse did the one you are going to get in the desert of Iraq? How many times was it blown up? How much sand is in the wheel bearings. I can see the dollar signs now.

The military version of the Humvee is very different than the GM version. It is bigger and rides very rough and has a different engine and transmission. Repairs could be costly and parts hard to find. They have no options!
